Production Support Coordinator

Excelsior Sewing LLC – Fletcher, NC

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM (Day Shift)

Pay: Starting at $18.00/hour and up, depending on experience

ABOUT THE JOB

Excelsior Sewing LLC is seeking a Production Support Coordinator to help keep our manufacturing shop running smoothly. We produce seam-sealed tents, rainwear, hiking and backpacking gear, and specialty contract sewing products.

This hands-on industrial role combines machine operation, light mechanical work, material handling, and computer-based tasks. You will work closely with the Production Manager and production team to ensure materials flow efficiently, equipment stays operational, and orders remain on schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Production & Equipment Support

• Operate and assist with maintenance of cutting machines, sewing machines, die presses, and related equipment
• Set grommets and snaps using die presses
• Measure, pull, and cut fabric using hot and cold cutting tools
• Support production of seam-sealed tents and rainwear
• Stage materials and keep workstations organized

Mechanical & Maintenance Support

• Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Identify mechanical issues and report them promptly
• Assist with repairs to reduce downtime
• Maintain clean and safe work areas

Computer, Shipping & Inventory Support

• Track production, inventory, customer orders, and shipping data
• Process online orders and ensure paperwork accuracy
• Communicate with customers, team members, and vendors via email
• Assist with website and Shopify updates
• Operate pallet jacks and manage shipping/receiving
• Monitor inventory levels to support production schedules

QUALIFICATIONS

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to work with manufacturing equipment
• Basic computer skills including email and data entry
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Team-oriented with a strong work ethic
• Manufacturing or mechanical experience preferred but not required
