Rainy Pass Repair Inc. has been in the business of improving outdoor adventures for over 35. We perform repairs and alterations on specialty fabrics such as waterproof breathables, nylons, and other fabrics and components found in rainwear, skiwear and camping equipment. 

We are looking for  technicians with industrial sewing experience. As a Repair Technician, you will play a vital role in the production process of our repair facility. You will be responsible for operating a variety of sewing machines, maintaining communication with the customer service staff, ensuring quality standards are met, and contributing to a smooth and efficient production workflow. Attention to detail, technical skills, and ability to work collaboratively with a team positively will be necessary contributions of a repair technician. 

Having operated out of Seattle, WA since 1986, we expanded to Morganton, NC and would love for you to join our team of problem solvers and creative thinkers doing great repair and alteration work for consumers and corporate accounts, including REI, Helly Hansen, Mammut, Sitka and GORE.  This is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a new facility and grow with the company.

What to expect: 

    •    Disassembly and reassembly of technical gear 

    •    Work with a variety of technical fabrics 

    •    Challenging alterations and modifications to a variety of products

    •    Other tasks may included supervisory functions. 

What we are looking for in the ideal candidate: 

    •    10+ years professional sewing experience 

    •    Ability to operate a variety industrial sewing machines 

    •    Alterations experience helpful 

    •    Previous experience designing, patterning, or constructing garments or packs is helpful 

    •    Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills
